Built up Stabs and Rudder
These tail feathers are built from laser cut balsa ribs and carbon fiber spars. Transparent Ultracote finishes the job. The stabs weigh 1.75 oz. and the rudder .75 ounces. The joiner rod is 1/8 inch hardened steel ejector pin. The standard rod spacing is 1.5 inches for most models with 2.0 inch for Emeralds and of course custom designs to your specification. Recent tests with a molded Emerald indicated a weight reduction of 6 ounces or about 1 oz per sq foot of wing loading.
Sizes are available for the Sapphire series, molded Emeralds (2 inch centers), Addiction/Compulsion, Psyco, and most models using a full flying tail. Other designs can be custom made for an additional charge. Basic colors are transparent red and transparent blue.
Price is $60.00 for the stabs and $15.00 for the rudder plus $5.00 shipping.
